A proposal for the Book Week events of 2018 – seven lounge-style reading stations set up along the Rothschild pedestrian mall in parallel to the book stands. Each reading area represents a decade of Israeli literature in honor of Israel’s 70th anniversary. The stations incorporate bookshelves with literature from the relevant decade and different types of seating and lounging arrangements that encourage opportunities for a wide range of encounters between book fair visitors who want to sit down and rest, talk, read a book or just lounge comfortably for a while. Events can be held alongside these reading areas, each with a different iconic design but with shared design elements that form a visual series of events that inspire people to walk the entire length of the fair.
